Professional Pet Grooming Training
Our program is delivered in two courses. Most learning happens hands-on with real dogs in a working studio, under instructor supervision, supported by course materials in our online student portal.
Level 1: Groom Tech
Our foundational program takes you from the basics through to confident, supervised hands-on grooming. Most instruction is delivered hands-on with real dogs, supported by lectures and visual learning materials — all under instructor supervision.
- Unit 1 — Canine Anatomy & Behaviour: Canadian Kennel Club anatomy, learning theory, reading the dog, and working safely with anxious or aggressive dogs.
- Unit 2 — Grooming Tools & Techniques: professional equipment, products, shampoo ingredients, and safety equipment.
- Unit 3 — Pre Work: nail care, ear care, sanitary trims, bathing, drying, brushing, mat removal, coat types, and skin and hair.

Level 2 & 3: Advanced Grooming & Show-Standard Styling
Builds on Level 1 with advanced clipper work, health and first aid knowledge, and breed-standard styling — all under instructor supervision.
- Level 2, Unit 1 — Dog Clippers: clipper safety, skimming, blade angles, snap-on combs, and sample grooming records.
- Level 2, Unit 2 — Health, Safety & Disease Recognition: skin conditions, allergies, parasites, first aid, and grooming the senior dog.
